conceptos de teoria: intrusive /w/ and /j/

these are used to link certain vowel-vowel combinations at word juctions.
the intrusive sound may not be distictively heard especially when the overall sentence is fairly relaxed.

intrusive /w/ follows a final /u:/ or a dipthong ending in /u/, where the next word begins with a vowel sound.
this is because /u:/ and /u/ have lip rounding and form the starting point for the bilabial semi-vowel /w/.

intrusive /j/ follows a final /i:/ or a dipthong ending in /I/ when the next word begings with a vowel sound.
this is because /I/ and /i:/ form the starting point for the semi-vowel /j/
